Oh wow thats cool but isnt she more well known and successful in the UK or Australia?

Does she have a big fanbase here in America as well to do a residency?

She’s done ltheater tours here in America. She’s never done a huge tour in the States. I would say people know of her but she’s not exactly mainstream. Obviously the gays love her but I haven’t even heard Padam on the radio and that songs been huge globally.

spacer.pngI was worried if she would be able to do a residency but I’ve read that Robbie Williams had one already and it did well. I’d say Kylie is more well known than him in America. I noticed in his setlist, it was a lot of covers though. Hopefully Kylie will stick to her hit songs and not rely on covers to pull an audience in.

I’ve always wanted to see Kylie live! My friend and I are all ready for her!! :yesplease_yas_agree_preach:

That's amazing news!! It was time for Kylie. You guys are so lucky!!

I imagine that if they planned this, they must have done some research to know that she'll sell tickets... If she doesn't, American gays are missing big.

What's with the name, though? What am I missing? I only know "Voltaire" as a writer... She seems to love French words, like her "Les Folies Tour", and even her song "Les s**" (I know it's a misspelling but still)

Thats what im confused about. From what i know, she isnt that big in the US and ive just did research on google and it says shes only had two US top ten singles 'The Loco-Motion' in 1988 and 'Cant Get You Out of My Head' in 2001 and shes only sold according to BMG Records 1,500,000 in the US compared to 8,387,000 in the UK. So it seems compared to the UK, she hasnt really had much US success. And what i really dont understand is she says as well as the residency, shes still planning a UK tour in 2024. so its not like with Britney and Kelly Clarkson they did it instead of touring, Kylie is doing both and by saying that, no one from the UK are going to bother travelling to vegas when they know shes coming here next year, so it must be to try and up her US profile. But why now when shes 55 and is 35 years into her career and no sign of her success dropping. it all seems odd

I mean, if Christina Aguilera had a residency... even Pitbull had one, Kylie will be fine.

Vegas is visited by people from all around the world regardless, and a lot of people travel without a show in mind and once they're there they just buy tickets to whoever is performing during their stay, or whatever show they can find.

I met a lot of people like that when doing the line to see Britney, like older couples and such. A man told me he and his wife were deciding whether to go see Ringo Starr or Britney, and I was like "Ringo is still alive? :wtf_britney_what_confused_um:" and the man was like "I SAID THE SAME THING!" :haha_britney_laugh_lol_lmao_hehe_haha_bw_black_white: they chose Britney of course :nynod_miss_new_york_ms_nodding_yes_yas_agree:

But Christina's was a huge flop. None of the shows were full and a lot of them were cancelled for "health reasons" or "technical reasons" (translation: not enough tickets sold).

What does she mean by More than just a residency?

This is what I found:

Producer Michael Gruber described his vision for Voltaire as an “interactive night out with some of the world’s biggest superstars” in an intimate setting where “anything can happen and no two evenings are the same.”

With a theme of “Belle de Nuit” (Beauty of the Night), Voltaire aims to capture a spirit “evocative of veils and mystery, of come-to-play and dress-to-express,” with table service that will include everything from champagne and caviar to cookies. “The creative team has designed an environment where people can get up and dance at their tables and revel in the night,” said Minogue. “That’s what Voltaire is and I can’t wait to perform in this intimate and exciting setting.”

So I guess it’s bringing back the old format that artists in past, like Elvis used to play when he was in Vegas. Table service and a show. I kinda don’t like this. Being seated is going to bring down the energy so much when she has so many dance tracks. I know it says people can get up and dance, but I’ve seen a few Vegas shows and if you’re assigned a seat, a lot of people will stay seated and maybe stand for like two songs.

Also table service sounds like it’s going to be EXPENSIVE! :gaga_shocked_stare_lady_dead_white_what_surprised:
