I think he has just been lucky. There is very little consistency in his work. He often tries to replicate past successes by repeating.

Im 60/40 with him. 60 percent he has had produced some great songs over the years like Fergie’s “Fergalicious” “Big Girls Don’t Cry (Personal)” Cheryl’s “3 Words,” “Parachute” Usher’s “OMG” and Rihanna “Photographs” (personal an underrated track). yet he can have generic (40%) music with Britney like “Big fat bass” or “It should be easy” why give Britney this songs 

When he produced Britney Jean, I was hoping for Britney to have her own “Big girls don’t cry” but that never happen .

I don't think he's viewed too negatively because of his connections to BEP. They were super successful, albeit completely contrived and the music is pretty trash.

Most people probably don't know who he is and don't care. Why would they? He hasn't produced much of note.

After he ruined Cheryl's career, I swore I'd never forgive him. And then came Britney Jean...
