while i understand that for ppl outside the fandom her posts may look weird, i've never understood that level of bullying and cruelty either. ppl showed sympathy for her after the docs in 2021, what happened? she suddenly deserves all the hate bc her posts are weird? did they all forget what she went through and how the media destroyed her in the past? i really thought we grew up as a society and moved forward. guess i was wrong. it's really sad. hope britney doesn't let all of this get to her.

People started hating on Britney because they couldn't deal with her "perfection" back in the day. Britney at her peak was an iconic idol. The it girl of late 90s / early 00s and the America's sweetheart.

Do you remember this?

Envy destroyed the girl and they acted surprised when she couldn't deal with everything. People didn't stop the hate, they just changed the excuse. They started hating on her because of her fails, because of her personal decisions, they even hate on her because she struggles with mental health. Same people who show compassion and empathy for other celebs like Selena Gomez or Demi Lovato because you know 'they're so young and are dealing with their mental health'

Well, Britney was 17/18 when they started bullying her. Hypocrite, right?

The original reason? Envy and frustration.

I blame it on teamcon. They did good job portraying her as unfit and unstable and easy target in 2007. And even now free from them she still bullied for whatever reason.
