It’s Been Nearly 5 Months Since J Lo Announced “This Is Me…Now.”

J Lo announced her new album “This Is Me…Now” on November 25th, 2022, the 20 year anniversary of “This Is Me…Then.”  The full track listing has been released and there has been no updates since.

Anyone else already annoyed with this release tactic?  I love J Lo, but what was even the point?  It reminds me of Britney announcing an announcement on Ellen.

Agreed! She chose to announce it on that previous album's 20th anniversary, but then... nothing. I want to hear it and hope it does get released.

I understood announcing it on the anniversary, but I thought it would be to build some hype.  Like I thought a single or something would have been released shortly after, or some live performances at least.

I don't want her to keep sitting on it since it's apparently largely inspired by her marriage. If her marriage takes a sudden wrong turn, I feel like she'd cancel it. So she should just put it out.

She’s probably scrambling to update that tracklist and adding songs like, He Betrayed Me Again, Stupid Striper 2.0, and Imminent Divorce all anticipating hits to hit your shelves and BillBoard Hot 100 near you

She probably keep teasing throughout out the summer, release the first official single around aug/sept probably near the anniversary of when Jenny from the block was released( Sept 26), Release the album in November

I hope it’s good. To be honest I’ve bought JLo’s first 4 albums and never liked the entire thing. I usually like the singles but she’s never been an albums artist to me. I always have huge expectations for her albums but it never fully hits for me.

Yeah, I dislike her albums also. She even had one album where the backup singers overshadowed her. I just buy the songs of hers I like and make my own mix.

Yeah, that's exactly what it is when people get paid to do a job.  

I won't praise her discography though and as far as I'm concerned 'Play was ruined by Jennifer not fully recording it? It's disorienting how Christina Milian sang half the song.

I appreciate JLo as good actor....but she is not definitely a singer
