Evermore is better than Folklore

And yes, I vibed with evermore more than folklore. but folklore is definitely a stronger record and a signature album from her.

It took me a while to get into Evernote. I love it now, but prefer Folklore.

I think Folklore is a better cohesive album. 
 

The highs of Evernore are insanely high though & there are songs on it that I prefer over Folklore. 
 

It’s the Damn Season & Tolerate It are two of the best songs she’s ever written IMO!

I’m honestly torn because Folklore has Seven and August (two of my all-time favorite Taylor songs), yet there‘s Tolerate It.

I hate to say it, but neither album grew on me. I like her country albums, she should never have done pop albums, or acoustic music that she only does to grab money.

I like "Willow" and tbh didn't get a chance to listen to "folklore" and "evermore" in full yet cause I like Pop TayTay more!

So I didnt go too far into your post (im hiding from spoilers 🙈. I could see that. My thinking is that Evermore is a more polished  and more intentioned album like her others so it wasnt just like toying around with stories and sound like the Folklore. Love them both but also folklore is like way sadder than evermore.

I love both albums almost as much as the other... however, Evermore brings me back to a very sad place in my life... half the songs on the album bring me to tears... Folklore is more upbeat and it has some of my favorite Taylor songs ever... My Tears Ricochet, Mirrorball, Seven, August, Mad Woman, Betty ETC!!!! They are both classics.

My favorite Evermore songs are Dorothea and Ivy.
