I doubt that problem is only in age, problem also with repertoire. They are not relevant now and absences of smash hit is the main reason, not their age.

Also, isn't radio a dying mode anyway? Isn't it all podcasts so people can skip the ads and the songs?

Clownery at its finest. The target audience doesn't listen to the radio for the music, let's start there. And as for age – I call BS on that. I do understand that P!nk, Rita and Katy haven't a hit for some time now, but Shakira has just destroyed streaming services so...  just say openly u don't like them & move on

If the music is good I don’t think it should be ignored, but radio is archaic and as others have said, very few people listen to it anyway.

I want to listen to what I want, when I want, in* the order I choose, and not have some douch talk all over both ends.

This isn't really anything new, Radio 1 has been doing this for ages  awful if you ask me but oh well

All you have to do is look at their playlist to see that this isn't true. Ellie Goulding is currently on their A list, and so are Lizzo and Miley Cyrus who are 30+ years old. Those other artists aren't on their playlist because they don't currently have a hit song out.

Um, Pink and Katy have been flops on radio (and even streaming) for like a half a decade now. It has nothing to do with their age but with their music. Also Shakira in recent years hasn't been big on radio outside of Latin American countries anyways; most of her recent success comes from streaming.

This is pure bs. Pink was all over the radio when she had a single out recently. As was GaGa last year. Miley, Lizzo and Sza etc. Hello TAYLOR SWIFT??

 

...Rita Ora is a flop. Why on earth would she be on on the radio, like ever?
