i don’t think this is real… but many years ago when smash bros was coming out on the wii u…nintendo had a contest of who would be coming out next for the game… and there was like a whole petition dedicated to bringing britney .. and she qualified because she had a game on the game boy color

yeah, the poll was back in 2015 lol it was for the Super Smash Bros Wii U game. The rule was that any character that had appeared on any videogame of any console was eligible, and since she was the main character of her own videogame, that made her a legal option, technically.

it got some track on Tumblr, though it's hard to tell if all of them actually voted.

Exhale wasn't very supportive on the other hand...  

 

In the end we knew they weren't gonna add her to the roster, but it would've been cool to see her appear at the top lol. They ultimately added Bayonetta, confirming she wasn't the most voted character, but they never disclosed the results
