Taylor Swift is everything Britney Spears was supposed to be if she didn't gave up on her career for her personal affairs,

Taylor Swift is definitely the Britney Spears of this generation, and everything Britney Spears fans wished Britney would evolve as an artist, more songwriting, more instruments and more creative and hands on her art!

I actually agree with this, back then it was exciting to be a Britney Spears fan bc she always surprise us with new sounds and visuals and it was exciting bc she was evolving and getting better, so if she didn't have kids or be married she would focus on her career and compose more, be more artistic, sing live etc.

They are very different artists, but there are some similarities.

I do think Britney took more risks overall. Taylor is what Britney would've been if she stuck with her Baby/Oops sound longer

i have never once looked at taylor swift and thought to myself "that's everything i wish britney was"

They couldn’t be anymore different, both artistically and sonically so I’m going to have to disagree. And while Taylor Swift is megasuccessful, she never even came close to reaching Britney’s level of fame and stardom.

Personally , I’m glad Britney is nothing like Taylor in any way whatsoever. Except maybe with the way Taylor constantly keeps her fans fed with new music and tours, but it’s not music I’d ever want from Britney.

That’s not what the OP was inferring to. He/she clearly stated Taylor is everything Britney wishes she could be if she didn’t give up on her career due to her “personal affairs”.

I wonder how Taylor’s career would be if she went through 1/10 of what Britney did. I mean, she basically crumbled over some drama with Kanye and ppl leaving 🐍 emojis on her IG. Is she a great songwriter with beautiful gowns? Sure, but let’s not compare her backbone with Britney’s.

Britney went through actual hell and for a long time had no authority over her own life let alone her career decisions. So let’s not.
