Really? I just hear there drumkits, piano and the strings, in what part is it overproduced?

it’s too clean to me… like i feel like mariah could have put more soul into the vocals…. especially during that era of her career… don’t get me wrong it’s a good song, i do enjoy it, but i think the vocal direction could have went another way… sry im just really picky about my uplifting songs lol

Never been into Mariah too much but ALMOST HOME I can listen to every day on repeat. Its wonderful.

I love "Almost Home" and kinda get teary-eyed when I listened to it. Probably she didn't really like it cause she didn't wrote it.

"Prisoner" is one of my fave Mariah songs too. It's very 90s rap vibe, quite cringe, which I understand why it's not her favourite songs. Lol.

Almost home is a song made to fit everybody and its a "safe" song in a way, but it doesn't take away from its greatness.
