Co-writers RedZone (Tricky Stewart and Penelope Magnet) recall that after initially playing Britney a song titled 'Pop Culture *****' (lol), the singer quickly stated that the track "sucked". It was only after a night out together in New York that the producers got to grips with "what she would and wouldn't say, to know where her real vibe is".

I didn't really feel the first single. Thought it might be a grower but no lol. I think it was the fastest  I removed a song of hers from my 'current' playlist.
