I don’t think circus is up there with her best songs but I inexplicably still love it. 
She looked gorgeous in the video too.

I love the song. The pre-chorus is perfect and it reflected in a theatrical way the situation being under the public eye constantly. But I ask myself what Britney thinks of  verses like "I'm like a ringleader, I call the shots" when she already knew her life was under too much control and she was clearly not calling the shots in her life. So it's interesting if she speaks one day about that contrast between her carrer (with an image of someone powerful) and her personal life.
