Britney fired Larry in 2005 , after she got married. I think that's when Jamie and Brian started unofficially taking over her management duties.

But then she re-hired Larry after the breakup with Kevin.

Larry would have been at the helm by the time of the Billboard Awards.

His first re-appearance by her side was this:

Nov. 8, 2006 - Britney goes ice skating with Larry Rudolph at the Rockefeller Center rink in New York City.

This was around the fire cr.otch breakup of Paris and Lindsey. Maybe it has something to do with that.

As we told you before, Lindsay and Paris exchanged some words inside of Hyde last night. But what you...

The "firecrotch" incident happened the same night as the upskirt shots.

Britney realised she was being robbed by her father and brother, hired Larry back, then her dad got control again as soon as he could, Larry stuck around to keep an eye on her as a friend. Then he left in 2020 as soon as Britney made it clear she wanted everyone gone. He’s the only one who actually listened to her during FreeBritney.

Larry's management company was acquired by Live Nation in 2010.

Live Nation was responsible for the FF Tour, POM, the POM tour and Domination.

Larry stuck around for the millions.

I remember that. But, less than 2 months later, Britney was out there acting like she no longer had management. Do we know if he was officially reinstated as her manager or was Larry just acting in good faith as her manager, for that brief period. thinking that the contract would inevitably get signed?

And by June 17, 2011: tickets are being sold on Groupon.

"Monday morning quarterbacks in the music industry may be debating for quite a while: Did Spears sabotage her own tour with the listless, lifeless TV appearances that were done to promote the album release? Or would the syndrome of diminishing returns just naturally have left her in this position in her career anyway?"

Live Nation releases a statement.

"Offering a deal on Groupon is not a reflection of the quality or status or sales of a show," said a Live Nation spokesperson, but rather "segmented marketing and a way to reach new and additional consumers." The spokesperson said Groupon promotions "proactively address two related issues: unsold inventory and industry awareness challenges."

We know he was officially reinstated because she sued him the moment she was released from rehab.

Settling the lawsuit with Larry was one of the first things the conservators of the estate did once the CON was created.

Apr. 17, 2007 - “Britney Spears is blaming Paris Hilton for hurling her into the anti-panty, head-shaving downward spiral which landed her in rehab ... and now she wants someone to pay! According to Page Six, Britney is enraged with her manager, Larry Rudolph, for introducing her to "nemesis" Hilton last November -- and reportedly gave him the axe for it last week. But as of this morning, TMZ could not confirm that Rudolph was actually fired ... yet. As TMZ first reported, Paris thought of herself as a role model for Spears, and even claimed that Britney was "grateful to be under Paris' wing." But shortly after the alliance had been formed, the lovefest crashed hard and the two haven't partied together since. Paris' rep, Eliot Mintz, fired back at the Page Six article, telling TMZ, "That's a matter between Britney, Larry and Leslie (Britney's old again, new again PR rep)."

I’m not sure what those receipts prove? All they prove is that the management company was bought by Live Nation, not that his only motivation was to earn money from her distress

Do you know Larry Rudolph personally? :umsaywhat_adele_hmm_umm_thinking_confused_unsure:

You seem awfully quick to defend someone who never once spoke out about the conservatorship...while simultaneously making an 8% profit off of every dollar she generated.

Wait, what?

I was confused by that as well.

Especially considering that Larry didn't resign until after Bessemer pulled out of being conservator of the estate because they felt they had been misled.

...

July 1, 2021 - In a declaration attached to Bessemer Trust’s Application to Resign, the company states it was told by Samuel Ingham that the conservatorship was voluntary. In light of Britney’s statement to the Court on June 23rd, they do not believe that to be the case.

July 5, 2021 - Deadline reports that Larry Rudolph has resigned as Britney's manager via a letter to James Spears and Jodi Montgomery. "Earlier today, I became aware that Britney had been voicing her intention to officially retire. As you know, I have never been a part of the conservatorship nor its operations, so I am not privy to many of these details."

My favorite part of LR's public announcement to the entire freaking world that he was breaking up with his client:
It has been over 2 1/2 years since Britney and I last communicated, at which time she informed me she wanted to take an indefinite work hiatus.”

He didn't think it was prudent to resign 2.5 years earlier?

Of course not. Who voluntarily walks away from earning a 10% commission of Britney Spears' earnings unless, you know, he's forced to?

I wrote 8% further up in the thread...

But that's because Larry was giving a 2% cut to James Spears. At least that's what it was for the FF tour, but it may have changed for POM.

Britney Spears dad, Jamie Spears, got a boatload of money for managing the Femme Fatale Tour ... TMZ has learned.

James created Spears Management, LLC right around the time that Jamie Lynn allegedly signed her record deal with Maloof Records...So it makes me wonder if Larry and James formed an "agreement" far earlier than the FF era?
