At the end of the day, we don’t know it for sure. I would like to believe that people like Christina Ricci and Debbie Gibson don’t have any bad intentions, especially when they faced similar backlash from the industry.

She’s saying it in the past tense because she knew her in the 90s and doesn’t know her/run into her anymore. Just as if you were talking about an old classmate or something. You know their not dead but at the same time their not an acquaintance of yours anymore and it’d be weird to talk about them like you still do
