I hope the lack of context was a simple error and not an attempt to twist Sam's words and paint him in a negative light

I don’t see the issue. He’s saying he’s grateful he doesn’t struggle but is also showing support and guidance. He’s genuine and I appreciate that about him! He’s picked apart for literally everything and it’s not cool!

Yikes. I know what he's trying to say, but that came across as insensitive because it's like he's saying "I'm so lucky to not have depression" rather than just showing sympathy for mental illness.

Ooh wow..yeah I’m sure his intentions are good but the way he put the message forward is really in poor taste. I’ll put it down to grammar though as I have friends and family where English isn’t their first language and messages and words come off different sometimes

I’m not sure if you guys have noticed but Sam doesn’t really have a way with words 😂😂 I think it’s just his personality to be awkward at times. 

It kind of makes me laugh because I know he doesn’t mean it like that but it’s comes off super offensive in a hilarious way. “Thank God I don’t have mental illness but for the rest of you…”
