I’m not asking for a pat on the back, it was just a legitimate question. You gotta remember that back then things were different, and it would have been more convenient to surround Britney with background dancers who had the same “look” as her. But she clearly never gave a **** and gave a fair shot to those who were the most talented, regardless of their skin color or background. I am simply commending her for this, so if you choose to take it the wrong way it ain’t my problem.

It's very foolish and naive to congratulate and patronise someone like Britney as if she's a child. You're attempting to give Britney 'diversity' points or whatever, but the truth is, someone should not be commended for accepting people of different skin colour/nationalities.  It is the bare minimum.People should not be congratulated simply for not being racist. It all feels very American where people give themselves a pat on the back for ANY reason whatsoever, and nine times out of ten it's false.

And you don't know how those dancers were treated, or their working conditions...Madonna is a good example of a white pop star who had a lot of black and latino gay backup dancers. However, she appropriated their vogue dance style, commercialised it, and discarded them when they had fulfulled their use.

I'm not saying Britney was like that at all as I can't recall any of her dancers taking the spotlight like that...but it's so silly to congratulate her for a moral virtue you are perhaps projecting onto her. She was a mega superstar who hired on an international level so of course it makes sense her dancers are from various backgrounds. Most Japanese  popstars have mainly Japanese back up dancers -- are you implying they are somehow morally inferior?

She wasn't the only one, at all.

Having different dancers from different backgrounds was common,  it showed the appreciation of the world of dance.

She wasn't the first at all..

Many did it before her. Including Madonna, Paula Abdul,  Janet Jackson.

This kind of post makes it sound like she was the first when she wasn't.

There was some video of old hv1 or mtv documentary where she was attending at audition and she was choosing while they danced.. so she was looking at their moves not a skin and it was obvious..

but it might not be the first and the last audition and  I don’t know if she was attending at all auditions..

Holy sh**, y’all just don’t get it. I wasn’t trying to “patronize” her or treat her like a child, I was simply applauding her to see through color and choose dancers based on their talent alone. I also never stated she was the first artist to do this, but it was still nice to see her dancing with dancers with a different nationality then her. Am I seriously gonna get crucified or called racist for that? I’m just pointing out something I noticed, wtf is so wrong with that?

Unuseful thread and misleading title for me... What's the point in posting these fake pics? And what's the point in seeing them? Really I don't get It.

Post real pics... In NYC the temperature now wouldn't let you go around like this anyway

Mainpage my Xmas Britney related Post instead please :lollipop_britney_sucker_dancing_party_2012:

Where the hell I called you racist?! 😅 chill dude! My point of what I’ve seen is that she chooses talented people and appearance isn’t much a thing and I love her for that..

Thank you for this. Although I believe the OP didn't want to give Britney "sympathy points" or something like that for a normal thing (the thing you've just explained in your first paragraph), I am glad you wrote this because it shows that there are still intelligent people who know how to use brain actually. :)

Also thanks you for writing this and clearing your intentions with which you created this thread. I actually like the idea and you've just worded that perfectly. You're also a sign that humans have a chance. :)

I feel like at the end you both are on the same boat, you only approach things from different angels. I might be wrong tho. I jsut wanted to express that I understand both of you and I cannot say that only one of you is either right or wrong because to me you both speak of the very same thing just from different angles. Hope I did not come across as rude or know-at-all big brain person. :)

I think they took into account the talent of the dancers, regardless of their race.
But  does speak well of her that she had a brief affair with one of her dancers in 2003.

Perhaps his gf/wife at the time? He looks scared af in all the pics where they look affectionate. I’m not blaming Britney, since she was single at the time and owed nothing to anybody. Also, this guy has since  proven to be a POS.
