I’m always on the fence, it is technically a slow love song (84BPM) but the production definitely makes it more dance-pop. It easily could be remixed into sounding like a ballad with no editing to the vocals

Not me thinking every slow song is a ballad, but how I hear it in my head is an acoustic version that could absolutely be a ballad. You’re the expert though
