I think it's a choice to have that robotic effect.
And it pair well when you follow it up with Make Me. 

(the only problem I have is the voice glitch on Alien.)

I think it's a stylistic choice it always reminds me of Nero Promises, the way the vocals are processed.

But yeah the chorus does sound kinda 'tinny' but the opening of the song sounds clear and has the distinctive Glory sound so it's definitely a stylistic choice.

They heavily edited vocals and they are in final too much "emasculated", also they mixed synths with overproduced vocal layers in chorus.

I'm still for it they keep only one layer with main vocals in chorus, because those layers ruins whole chorus

It was intentional 🤷🏼‍♀️ nobody messed up the mix / master. I like it, but I understand why some wouldn’t. It was a choice, for sure.
