Exhale Top 100 of 2022

Before the year ends, I'll post the Top 100 of the year, which will be calculated under two criteria:

• The average position each song got on the weekly lists
• Total sum of points

When I get these two lists, each position will be equal to a certain score based on the total of songs submitted throughout the weeks (more than 570 ). Then I'll do an average of these two scores, and that will give me a final list. Any ties will be broken by the number of views of their youtube videos.

I think the idea was good, but it was poorly executed. I know people get scared with too many rules, but tbh I kept thinking of all the loopholes and issues we would come across if there wasn't anything else but the poll.

Maybe if we somehow managed to get more people from other fanbases in here, but at the end of the day Exhale is still mostly Britney fans, so...

I also thought of doing it monthly now, instead of weekly, but it's gonna be the same problem, we need people to bring their suggestions and be willing to participate when the voting comes, and I think that would bring even more issues, like what if a song comes out at the end of the month, but it doesn't get popular until later on? Or if we get lots of suggestions throughout the month but no one votes in the end.

 

In the end, it did make easier the calculation of the Top 100, which was the purpose of all this, but it's only based in the 4 of us that voted consistently, and that was not the idea That will make us as biased as the Rolling Stone year-end list lol 

Maybe someone more popular should be doing this from now on, but it's a big commitment to do it all year long
