He finally did it! Ash Ketchum/Satoshi is the World Champion!

    I am triggered of this not being posted here.

     

     

    After a tough battle between Ash and Pokémon Sword and Shield’s Leon—known as Satoshi and Dande in Japan, respectively—and an interruption from the legendary Pokémon Eternatus, the young boy from Pallet Town emerged triumphant in the Masters Eight Tournament of the Pokémon World Coronation Series. Ash was left with, of course, just his Pikachu standing—from a team containing the electric mouse alongside Dragonite, Gengar, Lucario, Sirfetch’d, and Dracovish—finally taking out Leon’s Charizard to cinch the win.

     

    Although Ash has been a Pokémon champion before, it was only very recently, during the events of the Pokémon Sun and Moon anime, where he became the Alola region’s first Pokémon League winner in his first League win since the anime started. But defeating Leon now makes him a world champion, the highest accolade for a trainer in the Pokémon world. He is, arguably, now the Pokémon Master he’s longed to be since the day he started his journey back in 1997.

     

    So where does Ash, and the Pokémon anime, go from here? While the English-language dub of Ultimate Journeys will continue airing for a while in the U.S. and UK, there’s just three more episodes left to air in Japan. The final episode of the series, “Pokémon! I’m Glad I Got to Meet You!” is a play on the title of the very first episode of the Pokémon anime, “Pokémon - I Choose You!”, and has lead to speculation that either Ash/Satoshi’s time as the anime’s primary protagonist is over, or that the long-running Pokémon anime might end altogether. Regardless of what happens, the Pokémon Company is remaining tight-lipped.

    Personally I was so happy, my inner child was screaming of joy and that video I posted made me cry. After 25 years of being 10, Satoshi is the best pokémon trainer!

      Thoughts on the starter evolutions (unless you haven't looked at the leaks)? I really like most of the new Pokémon, but a lot of them don't really look like Pokémon, to be honest. My mind will probably change once we get to see the official Sugimori art, though. :bouncey: I was so excited about the cat, but after looking at the final evolutions, I think I might prefer the bird because of how fabulous it is (SPOILER WARNING):

      Honestly the starters are not my favorite, but I’m leaning towards the fire type even though the sassy bird and cat are contenders too. I told myself I would pick on the spot once I start playing :bouncey:

      Yeah a lot of people was mad at Incineroar... it's my favorite one on the 1000 pokemon.

      In this Scarlet i picked the sassy **** duck... but honestly these 3 seems to be the weakest starters (desing wise).

       

      and if there would be chance to really pick your team in Sword/Shield/Scarlet/Arceus... these would be my definitive team

        I really didn't think anyone in here cared enough lol Besides it is a major spoiler for anyone that doesn't watch the Japanese episodes.

        But yeah I cried when all of Ash's Pokémon throughout the series appeared in Pikachu's dream, even those he had released like Butterfree :crying3_britney_sobbing_tears_sad:

        It also seems the anime is finally coming to an end given the titles of the next few episodes.

        Either they're rebooting the series or introducing a new main character, or they'll just go a completely new direction. At least it sounds that way, since there's really not much they can do for Ash now, other than keeping his title. 

        Even with the videogames it really feels like we're entering a whole new era of Pokémon, not just as in s new generation, but there's really this feeling of a lot of things not being the same as they used to. I'm officially old :tifftear_miss_ny_new_york_ms_crying_wipe_tears_sad:
