Today marks the first anniversary since Britney Spears was freed from the 13+ years conservatorship

On November 12, 2021, the judge Brenda Penny officially terminated the conservatorship under which Britney Spears lived for almost 14 years, and after a long legal battle against her father, who had been suspended as conservator a month prior, a battle that still continues today.

All of her fans and supporters of the #FreeBritney movement celebrated the triumph outside the courthouse and all over the internet. 

A year later, her father is still delaying the conclusion of the legal process, by requesting his legal fees to be paid by Britney and refusing to admit any wrongdoing on his part as conservator of her person and estate for over a decade, among other absurd requests like the unsealing of her medical records.

Britney had the courage to speak, luckily it was published. Her lawyer is awesome. Her fans made me, a member of the GP, look up what was going on; the article and the documentaries opened my eyes although I understand she feels embarrassed by them.

I wish her continued healing! And I wish she had a new photoshoot and a public appearance at an event, so that awful wrinkle photo will not be reused.

Small victories should be celebrated but I hope we don’t forget Britney still hasn’t had justice. She might be free but at what cost? Her abusers are still roaming free. Loucifer might be financially inconvenienced right now, but she still has deals, she still has a company and she’s still making money. Her mom is still living in a house Britney pays for. I hope Rosengart steps it up and Britney gets her justice.
