Why is it usually the same artists that gay men like?

I mean whenever you ask a gay person about their fave artist all time, they usually list some of these names: Madonna, Britney, Cher, Kylie etc.

I mean why is it not Pink, Avril, Meghan Trainor, Jessie J but it is always madonna, britney etc?

I am not saying gay ppl dont like the names i mentioned above, there are ofc people who like them, but it is like %99 of gays that consider Madonna, britney, cher etc as Icons or legends. 

Why is that? what makes them attractive for gay men?  I want to know the scientific reason behind that..

Britney, Madonna, Cher and Kylie are pop masters, they bring the gloss as shinny as can be. On top of being the very best. They are the pretty world gay men love to live in. They are the way gay men love to see women as strong, powerful, beautiful and successful.

Avril and Pink are alternative pretty  there boring pretty.

I myself do love other artist though, a lot more lol.

I'm a gay man  but im not like the other gays who stan Madonna or Cher. I do like Avril but her old hits. but i know alot of gays love Mariah i love her too.

I think gay men adore or identify with Madonna and Cher cause their strong women they also support their gay fans. Madonna and Cher also are confident too. i guess

My straight friends always ask me whats up with gays and Lana and Charlie XCX. I have no idea how to answer  

I like some of their songs, I just don‘t get their obsession too.

I think gays appreciate hyperfemininity more than other people... IDK why but it's true. We love feminity in an admiration sort of way rather than a saxual attraction way.
