Britney Spears On Track To Become The First Female Act With A Top 10 Radio Hit In Four Consecutive Decades!

Recommended Posts

Our girl is about to set a new record: if Hold Me Closer rises to #10 or more on next week's BB Radio Songs chart (we're going to find out tomorrow), Britney will become the FIRST female act with at least one US Top 10 overall radio hit in each of the past four decades! :barbie_hair_flip_hairflip_weave_proud_cocky:

Britney Spears changed the face of teen pop with her 1998 debut single "...Baby One More Time" and has remained in the spotlight ever since. She's sold nearly 150 million albums around the world...

It’s already risen to #10

What you see on kworb site it's an estimation based on daily audience performance (Mediabase).

However, the #10 spot should be secured anyways (if not even #9), BUT we have to wait tomorrow when the Billboard Radio Songs' chart updates for the official confirmation. :wink_britney_everytime_white:

but wasn't this already achieved?

That's a different achievement, the youngest female artist with a Top 10 hit on Pop radio in 4 consecutive decades, in this case, the record would be even bigger: the first female act EVER to have a Top 10 radio hit OVERALL (all formats) in four consecutive decades!
