Christina's latest single has received 3,000 streams on Spotify since being released yesterday 

Meanwhile Britney's Hold Me Closer which has been out for over 5 weeks received 1.7m streams yesterday...

I'm genuinely surprised as the recent trolls that infested here over the past month or so were mocking Britney for flopping?

That's not actually true, the 3,000 streams were partial streams because it was released in Oceania earlier than the rest of the world. It's worldwide Spotify numbers for it's first day were 106,000.

Bionic was when Gaga was a hit and people started comparing both. Media made Aguilera flop. It’s always the media who destroy women’s career
