Hold me closer is useless. I hate the song and I don't understand why britney chose to make a comeback with this bad song. Plus, she did no promo or music video for this music. i think she loved cold heart from Elton and Dua, that's why she wanted a song with elton, but the result is bad, sorry  Bloodshy and avant know how to treat Britney voice, perfect songs for her voice. Love them so much. They made great songs for B

The 80% of the vocals here are from Candice Nelson, at least we have full Britney vocals on HMC.

It’s an ok song. Definitely not a single material. Most of us don’t like elton john’s style. He’s an oldies act. I listened to the song on the release date for countable times. 
what made me upset is hearing Britney’s voice cracking and them using tons of effects to hide it. But it still on the original version. 
although I love Britney, she can’t hold a note anymore. That clear voice is not there. Not sure why it’s so shaky after something to talk about cover. 
whatever it is it’s tragic. I’m still happy for her. I know it’s a fragile time on her life. Her people come towards her more viciously and stronger than ever. She’s a strong woman. But there’s that. Our sweet Britney can’t hold a note. We have to accept this truth.

I love Brinny and HMC... but if im going to choose between cold heart and hold me closer... i will choose cold heart... although both are vibey disco bops... but cold heart has the solid sound to it, vocals are clear and on point...

But since its an elton song, i dont mind at all... (i still prefer the 70s tiny dancer classic tho, sorry B )

I only wish that if britney wants to record new material again, i hope she stays away from the disco vibe... its tiring now and its cheap sounding. Dua lipa made that trend for her and it suits her... (because future nostalgia sounds good production wise)

Honestly the music trend nowadays is getting bland and not authentic, they sample songs here and there... just like the a-ha song take on me... the weeknd blindling lights sampled it, now harry styles is doing the same sample. Beyonce sampled im too **** by right said fred in alien superstar. Nicki minaj sampled mc hammer in freaky gurl... and the disco sound is not always good btw, production can be messy sometimes. Dont hate me but i dont like that hit song from lizzo about damn time... tho its catchy but its not good on my ears on loudspeaker. Its bad!

So if i were brinny, i would experiment on new sound just like what she did in 2003 to 2007. Toxic is an example of timeless pop classic, everything about it is perfection.
