Summary:

- the press at the time wanted him to say nasty things about her mental health

- backstage he would ask Britney questions and her handlers would suddenly appear and answer for her. They wouldn’t let her speak and she was standing right in front of him.

- he thought it was weird at the time but now that everything has come to light, he understands what was going on

- he got the impression Britney was bored with it all

- he never in a million years thought someone of Britney’s stature would be controlled like that

- Said she was sweet

Weird. For me he starts talking Britney at the 9:30 mark (which I’ve updated to clarity). Prior is some soundbites of her appearance and an advert. 
 

Would be great if more people who interviewed her during the con years spoke out about their experiences.

As horrible the situation was for Brit I also felt bad for anyone who interviewed her since 2008. Generic boring questions only very lame short answers. I do think 2016 interviews felt better and more relaxed and even Carr found some laughs in 2013. The dogging bit was funny

This made me sick. They didn't let her have a human contact. I think this is abuse.

Nothing new, but I love this coming from Alan Carr because he's LOVELY, he plays this mischievous character all the time but I trust him so much! I think he's a nice guy, and super honest. Love love him.

Let's not forget the media was also complicit in what happened. The irony of the con "shielding" her from media while also exploiting her

This is so sad. I’m glad he still found Britney to he likeable despite all of this going on. She really is a strong woman.
