On September 9, 1999 Britney Spears made her VMA's debut performing ...Baby One More Time in a medley with NSYNC's Tearin' Up My Heart.

 

Her ...Baby One More Time video was nominated for several categories, but didn't get any of the awards:

• Best Female Video - lost to Lauryn Hill's Doo Wop (That Thing)
• Best Pop Video - lost to Ricky Martin's Livin' la Vida Loca
• Best Choreography in a Video - lost to Fatboy Slim's Praise You
