OMG I haven't heard this song in over 20 years.  It was EVERYWHERE in Puerto Rico in the early 2000's. Every single birthday party. Also some song about a cow and another one about a frog?

There's another very good artist called Ishay Ribo, originally from France, who sings religious music. Even though his music isn't secular, his voice and musicality are so strong that he's appreciated widely even by secular Jews. This is my favorite from him.

I might sound ignorant but I gotta ask this  Is Selena truly that big an icon in Latin America? I see people mentioning her name left and right all the time but looking at her stats, her albums appear to only have charted in the U.S.A  

I always got the impression she was mainly famous in the USA  so correct me if I'm wrong, I obviously don't know 5hit

Her music kinda blew up after her death. I can’t speak for all of Latin America, but she definitely became a legend in Puerto Rico (which is part of the US), and in Mexico. Which, duh. She was Mexican-American.
