Late 1995 - Britney Spears meets entertainment attorneys Larry Rudolph and Steven Beer, of the New York law firm Rudolph & Beer, LLP. “We met her when she was 14,” recalls Beer. “She had come to New York to get some training and to do some auditions. Someone who wanted to work with her attended a recording agreements class I was teaching and introduced her to my ex-partner and me.” Says Rudolph, “...I have known her since she was 13 years old, and she’d been off ‘The Mickey Mouse Club’ for about a year, which I had not seen. James Spears, Lynne Spears, Larry Rudolph, and Jive are all named in the lawsuit. According to the suit, Spears had come to Kahn shortly after the collapse of the ''Mickey Mouse Club.'' For the brief period he spent as her "exclusive personal manager," Kahn is demanding "a sum in excess of $75,000," as his standard 15 percent commission.

Dec. 1999 - Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, both clients of the law firm of Rudolph & Beer, LLP, enter into donor agreements with the Boston-based Giving Back Fund, Inc., a charitable corporation to which contributions qualify for tax deductions under§ 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. lt is not the more familiar form of charitable organization which exists to raise money for some single use such as The American Cancer Society.  Rather, for a fee, it provides a structure which receives funds generated or donated by a prominent donor and administers a charitable account in the name of that donor. The donor is thus able to raise funds and participate in decisions directing the funds to favored donees. The objective is to avoid the costs and burdens of creating and administering a charitable foundation while getting a pre-approved I.R.C. § 501 (c) (3) umbrella.

Feb. 21, 2001 - After consulting with her attorney, Larry Rudolph, Britney Spears signs an amendment to her Personal Management Agreement with Johnny Wright, extending the agreement to provide a termination date of February 20, 2003, and a "sunset"on payment of commissions to February 20, 2008. The fixed commission rate of 7.5% is replaced with a sliding payscale (7.5% for $0 - $20M; 6.75% for $20M-$30M; 6% for $30M-$40M; 5.25% for $40M+).

Feb. 19, 2007 - “Right before Britney went into Promises, after she shaved her head, I got an anonymous call from a man while I was driving in Los Angeles,” writes Lynne Spears in her book Through The Storm. “There are drugs planted in Britney’s Malibu home,” he said, going on to tell me that it was a conspiracy between Kevin and Britney’s assistants to make my daughter look like a bad mother.” Lynne claims that, "Immediately, I called the security guards at the Malibu house and asked them to check the house for drugs. While I knew Kevin would never hurt my daughter like that, and I highly doubted her assistants would either, things were so fragile with Britney at the time that I wasn't taking any chances. She had just lost custody of the boys to Kevin, and she was at a very low ebb. It was midnight, but I turned around and drove to Britney's house and met her assistant, Allie. Along with the guards, we combed the house, and no drugs whatsoever were to be found. Nonetheless, Allie and I were scared to death. I didn't hear from this mysterious person again until months later...When I told him his theory had proved wrong, he protested: "There were drugs; you just didn't find them," he said, earnestly." Several paragraphs later, Lynne claims the man who called about the drugs was Sam Lutfi.

According to Lynne, she sent the unnamed woman to the pharmacy at the Ralphs Grocery Store next door to pick up an RX that she had called in, when the woman brought the pills to the apt, Lynne claims she took a pill crushed it on the kitchen counter and wiped the contents into Britneys Red Bull, in which Britney drank, passed out and later was driven to promises."

Also, "Upon information and belief, SPEARS and BTI concealed from WEG a series of negotiations and agreements for otherwise commissionable Gross Receipts payable to WEG, thus diverting those commissions to SPEARS directly or indirectly, or to corporate entities without the knowledge, consent, or agreement of WEG, both before and after the termination Agreement."
