I think maybe they didn’t want Britney associated with the movie or thought the song was too real. Listening again and seeing how the final version by Lil Wayne performed I definitely think it would have been a big hit for her.

It’s probably more to do with the movie studio putting it out there for different names to record and then choosing one.
