With the release of Britney’s “Hold Me Closer”, 2022 will mark the first time since 2011 where all the main pop girls who debuted in the late 1990s and early 2000s will have released a song and/or an album/EP in the same calendar year!

Are y’all perched? 2022 will go down in history as the first year since 2011 (thanks for correcting me @Oxic) that the 6 (7 if we include Pink) biggest female artists who debuted/gained prominence as solo acts in the late 90s and early 00s era will and have simultaneously released a song and/or an LP/EP in the same a year.

Avril Lavigne releasing her 7th audio album “Love Sux”. Beyoncé, as we all know, with her hugely successful “Renaissance” album, Britney Spears with ‘Hold Me Closer’, Christina Aguilera  with her two EPs “La Fuerza” and “La Tormenta”, Jennifer Lopez who released her soundtrack album “Marry Me” and lastly — Shakira who released two singles, ‘Te Felicito’ and ‘Don’t You Worry’.  Oh and Pink released her protest song, ‘Irrelevant’ This is huge!!! The void has finally been filled after 15 years. The late 90s and early 00s main pop girls bunch are all finally back together. Time to celebrate!spacer.png

Also, didn't they all release stuff in either late 2011 or early 2012? I would say that counts in the same year since it was the same 12-month period.

She did, "irrelevant" didn't chart though I guess. Was too political.
