Sailor moon as an English dubbed anime was extremely popular and is being seen in articles as essential queer kids tv shows for older millennials upbringing in the 90s (1981-1987) is considered older millennials.  Age range from 41 to 35..

 

Watching it i see another us adaptation inspire the live action footage. 

 

The mighty morphin power Rangers another popular show for elder millenials as well..

 

But while power Rangers uses the fighting footage from the actual source material Super Sentai, here when it comes to being the heroes, they use animation sequences..

 

Obviously i see why it was abandoned. 

 

It definitely is the best example of doing a way too obvious westernization of a popular thing from Asia which was popular in an English dub anyway.

The early internet definitely gets shaded a lot, but it's why sailor moon was given a second chance

Before now, the only version of this that we could view was from a fan recording (not the full pilot) during a showing of the intro at a convention or something. It was grainy and the audio was overlapped with crowd loling their azzez off 😆 This is an extremely clean cut version that includes a lot more footage than what was shown in that orginal grainy video.
With that said. I'm glad this never happened. 😩

I actually..didn’t hate it! It’s definitely a 90’s TRIP but I love Sailor Moon and to have this unearthed is quite amazing.
