Was Britney Planning on Ending the Conservatorship During the Glory Era?

Thinking about the New York Times article where she had contested multiple times in 2016 that she felt the conservatorship was abusive. She told the investigator about the incident with not being able to decide the colour of her cabinets that very year. 

She allegedly went on the Jonathan Ross show and spoke out against the conservatorship for controlling her sound according to fans that went to the show. she referred to Glory as her baby. 
 

the original concept of the Make Me video is literally about being caged, along with some mixed Adam and Eve imagery, and finally breaking down her home once receiving an eviction notice on her door for giving into temptation. 
 

David Lachapelles entire photoshoot for Glory continued with similar themes as seen with what we saw of the photo shoot with the chain and house. 

she also returned to the VMAs stage.

was this all intentional? Did Britney believe she could contest the conservatorship (I know she wasn’t aware she could file to end it herself, but there were also rumours back in the Slumber Party days, @PokemonSpears likely remembers… reports which stated that Jamie was considering ending the conservatorship at one point, but I’m sure we can attribute that to tabloid rumours given his iron fist on Britney’s estate last year).
 

Is it possible that the intended “theme” behind glory supposed to be a woman liberated and finally ending the conservatorship or at the very least, speaking out against its abuses and finding glory in her womanhood through that??

I believe she was trying everything in her power to get out by proving that she was in fact the perfect little pop star. She was clearly dedicated to her career in a way she never was before, she also learned that she wasn’t completely powerless. She said in interviews she had to be careful and ask for things little by little in reference to glory. 
 

I think she was trying to prove to someone either the courts or the public that she didn’t need a conservatorship anymore and that she was willingly working and showing an interest in her career. 
 

Rather or not she was considered “healthy” in the con was based off her attitude towards her work often.

Britney was definitely trying to be sly and get the word out about her life as much as possible with the make me video and glory photoshoot.

glory was definitely more "return to britney" than any previous era under the conservatorship. she was on a mission that era and it was more than proving herself as an artist. she wanted to prove herself capable to the court that constantly ignored and allowed her abuse. i think she tried to end the conservatorship the majority of it, gave up/complied somewhere in the middle, and then found her courage to fight again towards the end.

Looking back now, i do think Britney knew that Glory was going to be her last album for a very long time which is why she was very involved in it and made sure she took her time and made it an album she was proud of. i have a feeling she was planning on trying to fight the cship after the vegas residency ended in 2017, then she was forced to tour in 2018, then the final straw was the last night of the tour being handed another vegas contract for 2019-2021 and told if she didnt sign it she'd be sued. i think that she probably thought if she did the vegas residency well without any problems, worked hard on Glory, did loads of promo and made Glory a success that would've have proved she didnt need a cship, then doing the 2018 tour wouldve shut everyone up, cship would end and she'd have a few years break. But of course all it did was make more money then they just gave her another vegas residency and if reports were true, she was also back in the recording studio working on B10. So i think by that point, Britney knew fine well they were just working her non-stop no matter how much she worked and ranking in the millions and that was the start of her going on a indefinite work hiatus and fighting to end the cship

Yes, everything that went down. The album, the interviews, singing live for the first time for years if not a decade.

I really thought they'd let her do her thing and less restrict her in the conservatorship. And then, I can't pin it down, something happened and Britney completely changed her behavior and attitude to a little girl instead of fierce woman.

Despicable what they did to her and her family has zero concern with what happened, they're only concerned with minor things like "she raised her voice once" - what a terrible family.

 

The money was HERS.  It is entirely unusual for a celebrity's money to be spread around the entire immediate family by force. They are all despicable and I wish the worst for every one of them.

I think she was trying to set in place the process of getting fans riled up on her side. She knew she wouldn’t be able to get the job done without a movement.

I often think about how different things would be if she had gotten free in 2016. She would still have a lot of trauma to work through but she seemed to be in a much better state of mind and young enough to have several more children. It's such a shame they put her through hell before they released her
