Some perspective for those who think Britney’s posts are “all over the place”

So…I know it’s probably easy for a lot of people to read Britney’s posts and immediately feel confused, or think she’s all over the place and not making sense, or that she rambles incoherently at random for no reason, so I figured I’d offer some personal insight and perspective (for whatever it’s worth). 
 

I’ll start by saying that by no means have I gone through exactly what Britney has. I’m not wealthy and I’m not famous, nor does anyone really give any sh**s about me or my daily life. However, over the last 10+ years I’ve experienced some of the same types of people and behaviors. It started with my ex-husband and his extreme gaslighting - making me feel crazy for things that were quite obviously going on. He knew every vulnerability I had and worse, he knew exactly how to manipulate and play on them, and knew exactly how to get any reaction he wanted out of me. Yes, I could’ve theoretically gotten out of the situation, but in some ways I couldn’t, and he used that to his advantage too. 
 

Fast forward a few years, and I started to  see my entire family start to change as well. Without going into too much detail, I’ll just say there were things that I tried to warn certain family members about regarding another family member,  and that we needed to help. Nobody would listen, despite the obvious signs and evidence that said otherwise. Then, as if it were NEW information, those same family members reached out and said they were worried about the same family member and that I needed to be concerned. And when I naturally reacted with “Really? You mean what I’ve been telling you for two years?”, it was as if I was making it up or overreacting, and not once did anyone say “You were right” or “I’m sorry for not listening sooner”. And before I get dragged for it, no, I don’t expect apologies and no, I don’t look to be right about anything. But for as close as I’ve always been with my family, this was very unexpected and I was a little blindsighted. This type of thing continued to happen, with almost every member of my family, and it all kind of centered around information I had recently uncovered about some potentially shady happenings within the family. When I’d confront anyone with these facts, I would basically get told I was crazy, or just flat out denial - which made it more obvious that there was something to hide, but even more frustrating that I still wouldn’t get honesty from anyone.
 

The point of any of this is that my trust has been completely destroyed over the last decade or so, by the people I cared about (and who I thought cared about me) the most. And on top of that, to still be treated as if I am crazy about things I was right about the whole time is probably the most hurtful, infuriating thing I’ve ever experienced. I had to cut ties with my entire family for my own sanity’s sake, and apart from them, I don’t have many people that I can share my feelings with aside from my current partner, and I know he probably gets tired of hearing the same stuff over and over. As a student, I’ve got a lot of time on my hands occasionally, and a lot of which is spent trying to make sense of it all, which in turn brings up the anger and resentment all over again, and because I don’t want to bother my partner with things I need to get off my chest, I’ll make very pointed Instagram or Facebook posts that probably make zero sense to anyone that sees them. While part of me does it out of hope that the one or two family members I still associate with on social media might see it and confront me, I mainly make these posts because it’s a way to release some very negative feelings and hopefully get to a point where I can heal from the trauma. 
 

Britney, I sympathize with you very, very much. You have no idea how much you mean to me and many, many other people.

I’m joking boo. Appreciate you sharing your story, and a lot of what you said makes perfect sense. It’s a shame that there are still people calling Britney crazy because of what she posts like these four *********.
 

This type of judgement is what got her to rebel out in the first place. She probably needed someone to vent to and confide in, but all she got was judgment and people calling her crazy. Hell, I probably would’ve done much worse than shave my head if I was in her shoes.

You are exactly right, she's not making those cryptic posts for us to understand but for the people who hurt her and they are coded with internal references the general public won't get (as hard as we try), but that doesn't mean they don't make perfect sense to those in the know. 

I left an absolutely hellish situation four years ago and I'm at peace now but it was a long hard road to get here and I still carry scars. Britney is just at the beginning of her healing and it will take time and a lot of grieving and decompressing in the meantime until she gets there too, but she will. Plus she's writing that book, imagine how much she is mentally processing in order to do that! I fully expect it will take a couple years to write it because it takes years to untangle a lifetime of trauma enough to piece everything together.

I'm so proud of her for her incredible strength and determination to move forward in life, to get justice and to find her happiness. <3

”Ohh this will look bad” or “GP will trash her”

Stop caring about what others think about her. Why do you want to control the image she passes? Let her be.

people saying she's all over the place must always remember she's been abused in many ways throughout 15 YEARS by all the ones she thought were family and closest ones. She's been drugged, she's been exploided, she's been bullied, she's been isolated, she's been put her own sons against her.

 

So imagine if I had issues and sometimes I wanna tear the world apart... How in the earth is gonna feel someone who's been through all that, BEEN SILENCIATED for so long, and now that she can speak? We can agree with most of all her thoughts and disagree with some of them... BUT is valid that she releases the anger that way.

I've come to love her rambles. It's who she is, it's honest and unfiltered. Given what she's been through she could've easily withdrawn and gone back to FFney with yes no answers to anything and zero personality.  Give me wacky Currentney any day of the week. Is she the most articulate person? No. Does she come across as a teenager sometimes? Yes. But it's great that she has Insta as an outlet to share her thoughts/videos... It's like a Dear Diary for the new generation. "Everybody's been doing emails Instagram"

Hey guys - I just wanted to thank y’all for all of your feedback. I was bracing myself for either getting torn to shreds or seeing that nobody commented. Once again, it’s a testament to Britney and this fan base (despite how messy we are a lot of times).

Very insightful, thank you for sharing. I fully agree with you. Sometimes she uses metaphors and literary references for events and people we are not familiar with. Her stream of consciousness style seems to be unfamiliar to many of her readers. It allows her to pack a lot of information in one post. 

I watched her interviews before the conservatorship. She is kindhearted and quick witted.
