To both of you above, have you ever been in a serious and longterm relationship? Grown up people actually realize staying off social media is a much wiser choice, also in order to keep your private life, well, private - especially when you deal with family members that aren't well.

I’m thinking maybe this is due to Vicky struggling with trolls and hate messages. She has been very open about her social media addiction and the trauma unkind people inflict on her. Maybe they thought breaking  the connection might ease some of that, but in reality, everyone is talking about it.
