The New York Times journalist Liz Day says the statute of limitations on the surveillance and monitoring of Britney could be running up on soon

which is why the order to compel jamie to hand over evidence and sit for his deposition is so important. rosengart isn't the one that files the charges and he can't ask for charges to be filed without the evidence jamie refuses to give.

what does it mean? :beynah_beyonce_talking_telling_preaching:

A statute of limitations is a law that sets the maximum amount of time that parties involved in a dispute have to initiate legal proceedings from the date of an alleged offense, whether civil or criminal.

basically if Jamie keeps refusing to hand over the evidence for a certain period of time, the evidence will no longer be valid in court

But since it's been brought up in court already and depositions have already been requested does that not mean a legal preceeding has already begun? Does that not void the statute?

(Sorry not an American)

lol your right. It’s already brought up. So there is no issue with statutes of limitations here.

With Jamie now filing a response to this issue. We will likely begin to see more action this month. I look forward to the hearings..

California needs to do more then change c/ship laws. They need to self correct. It’s embarrassing they let Jamie Spears do what he did.

I believe that Britney and Rosengart must have a well prepared plan. Britney in her testimony was determined to sue her family and her management and Rosengart said multiple times that they are going to seek real justice.

I just can’t see Jamie and others get away with it like that so easily, while the whole world is watching, receipts are everywhere online and the book is coming soon..

rosengart can try to ask the da to go forward with the evidence he already has, it seems like he wants to make his case stronger than what it already is so there's no way the da will turn it down. but it's quite literally not up to him at all whether charges will be filed or not.
