Can you help add sources to the Chronological Timeline? : A Research Thread

Fellow Super Sleuths,

I'm going to be starting my Ph.D. in September and am already getting too busy to participate in sleuthing the way I used to.

Can ya'll help me update the sources for my Chronological Timeline so that we have them all in one place?

What I'm looking for:

1. Sources for each entry (MLA format, if possible).
2. Missing entries (Key dates that had a legal impact).

My timeline focuses specifically on the legal aspects of Britney's case, particularly in terms of her finances, so I tend to hold off on adding entries until:

• The source is verified to be solid, or
• The new entry dovetails with an existing entry, or
• The new entry helps support a legal argument.

So...

If you would like to suggest an entry, please include the piece of law that applies or a justification of why the event should be added.

Britney has a long and illustrious career so it would be easy to fill this timeline with pop culture facts...But I'm going for something a bit different here.

Just so I understand the assignment - you're looking for sources for the currently unlinked events?  For example:

I'm looking for sources for the events that have no sources at all.

I'm also looking for events that should be added, e.g. the $50-million loans...There are a number of Research Threads where we turned up lots of great dirt, but it didn't get added to the Timeline at the time.

Do yall have a copy of the original pdf (non searchable) to this document?

Britney Spears - court document - 20190507 - BC642177 - Lufti - temporary restraining order w original RO in exhibits

I noticed potentially bad photoshop in Exhibit E. I processed the docs with OCR to make them searchable--but now I'm curious to compared the post OCR'd doc to the original (which i deleted).

"Attached hereto as Exhibit E is a true and correct copy of a screenshot from Lynne Spears' phone evidencing the return of Mr. Lutfi's unwanted bribe."

Can sources covering said information be from years later or more contemporary sources? Because I did find a paper mag article from 07 that I’m not sure was listed.

The language in the headline is a little questionable but again 2007.

 

Also one from Cleveland news about Britney being released from rehab in March 2007 after being admitted in February.

It depends on the situation, but for the most part, sources from at the time are best.

Example: If I was trying to track Britney's movements in the 24 hours leading up to rehab I'd want to go with the pure, unfiltered sources from that day since we know that Larry loved to plant misinformation in the gossip blogs to cover up for things in the days that followed. 

Court documents are better than journalist's stories, and journalist's stories are better than gossip blogs sometimes. We know that Larry liked to work with TMZ, Britney/Lutfi liked to work with X17,  Jamie liked to talk with Fox News, and Laura Wasser preferred Extra! ...So sometimes the X17 stories are far more accurate than anything.

I need to set aside a full day to update the Chronological Timeline with all of the suggestions being made to the Google Doc and with all of the goodies we dug up in the Research Threads. I'll update the Exhale thread to match.

And then I'll just leave it to the rest of you to do with it what you'd like, e.g. copy and paste into other formats, to make your own timelines.

I might drop off the face of the Earth in September, depending on how busy I get, so I'll try to get it to a place where it can continue on without me.

Beyond the use of a serif font in the "message" and the text poking out from underneath the button at the bottom...

The period between "Apr" and "29" is also out of alignment.

Can anyone help out with the best sources for candids?

It would be great to build a list of sources of professional photos, pap photos, and fan photos.

Sometimes photos help us nail down dates.

There are other ones too. These accounts have occasionally been suspended because of BAnon and others.

You can use the wayback machine on twitter and advanced search.

III. The wayback machine is great. Here's an example of how I've used it:

IV. Advanced search works by searching anything and then in the search results page you just click the dots next to the search box and it will give you the option for advanced search. Advanced search is really great and has a lot of ways to search tweets by date, by account (to and from) etc.
