Top 20 mechanics:

Spoiler

• Vote on the poll (that gives 1 point)
• Last week's Top 17 has an advantage: #1 song starts with 17 points, #17 starts with 1. (#18-#20 don't have an edge)
• Songs that didn't make it to the Top don't have an edge regardless of which position they ended, which by the way you can tell by the order on the poll (excluding new songs)
• Voting on the comments is the most important. You can now vote for up to 20 songs. Your #1 song will get 15 additional points, all the way down until your last song gets only 1 point. If you vote for 10 songs, your first song gets 10 points, etc.
• The 20 most voted songs on the poll will get a booster in the way of a comment vote known as "Exhalers' Vote"
• You can subtract a point to those songs already in the Top 20 by voting on the last question, and you can subtract an additional point by specifying in your comments.
• Ties are broken by weekly YouTube views (yes, YT views)

Other rules and explanations:

• Only two songs per artist will make the Top 20 at max, regardless of how many points the third or subsequent songs get in the end, so be wise with how many songs you nominate at the same time (i.e. when a new album comes out).

Where was this clarification before?  Pokémon’s revenge cause I deducted a point from Dile. I’ll never forget taking a point from Kiiara, Kah-lo and Marina

I wish other people listened to the songs nominated instead of being biased. I discovered two new favorites: This Hell and No One Dies From Love and I don’t usually listen to those artists

I think it was always clear that negative points were for the songs that get an edge, that is the Top 17 songs, which are the ones from the last question. The bottom 3 always receive 0pts, and I even write in the poll. 

It might not be the most efficient way or fair or whatever, but when thinking about this Top, I tried to come up with these things in an attempt to balance things out. The Top 20 gets an edge so they don't fall out of the top from one week to another so easily (yet it some cases it has actually happened, but never as extreme as the Top 1 completely falling out of the top). It also in theory should help us to focus on other songs, for example your favorite song managed to be on Top 10 or something, since it's already there, you don't have to give them lots of points again, because it starts the new week with an edge, and instead you can give them to a new song that isn't the top yet. 

But maybe there are other songs in the top that you don't like, so that's why you take a point from the edge they're receiving. Sometimes just a point makes the difference.

But the reason why the bottom three don't get any edge is to make it easier for new songs to enter the top, in an attempt to "balance it", otherwise we would get the same Top 20 songs every week. So in that sense, 18-20 are on the same line as every other song not in the Top already, so it's unfair to take negative points from them, when there's 17 other songs that have an edge already.

About Dile, even without your negative point still didn't make it, so it's not about that.

Happier Than Ever was my discovery last week, I don't remember who nominated it

At least I do listen to the suggestions, part of the reason why I started this Top is to get to know new music other than the artists I always listen to (or even worse, most of the time I just listen to old songs lol) 

But usually the ones I like the most are already part of the Top 20 so no need to push them further. And other points I prefer to use them for my faves, since in the end, all the points are gonna count for the year-end chart, which I believe they still have no chance, but who knows. Thing is, we're only in June and we already have almost 300 submissions so far  so I think the Top 100 will be made out of only the songs that made it to the Top 20 several times.
