IMO, Lorde should be in a band. She has some cute songs but as a solo performer, I don't find her interesting at all.

Solar Power was the first time I liked anything from her and I still can’t get into it. Secrets From A Girl is a whole 2000s vibe tho, I fw it. I’ve heard songs from Melodrama on Lana and Taylor playlists and those songs are truly terrible- cliche and contrived at best.  Writer in the Dark is HOT GARBAGE (fight me). Maybe it’s a taste difference but she doesn’t do anything someone else (Lana, Taylor, Sky, Halsey) isn’t doing/hasn’t done better.

Love Lorde. Mood Ring and Solar Power are so good. Royals grew on me but Green Light, Team, and Homemade Dynamite are so good.
