The CON Accounting : A Research Thread

“Members of Britney’s household,” it said, “have been paying for her basic necessities, including medicine, food, and other day-to-day needs.”

This is likely because her credit card often didn't work.

This appears to be a running theme from the time she split with Kevin until they put her in the CON:

  • Sean Phillips claimed her credit card didn't work in early 2007.
  • Witnesses claimed her credit card didn't work between her first and second rehab stays.
  • Lynne's Spears declaration claimed her credit card didn't work on the night of Jan. 28, 2008.

Sean claimed Britney's black Amex card belonged to her "management." :gtfo_britney_pink_wig_2007_mad_annoyed_irritated_stare:

That's a good connection. I had never connected those dots before.

My other theory is just basic exhaustion. Although I do not know exactly what Britney went through, I can speak from my experience of being estranged from family and clinging on to toxic temporary friends to escape them. I had a bad year of overspending on takeout and lending money to these so-called friends. It happens in your 20's. It was a mistake, but I'm glad the whole world didn't see so I had a chance to move on with it and grow from it without anyone finding out.

So Britney had the money, but didn't do everything exactly right to make sure her cards were working at the right time. That's literally the worst case scenario of her so-called "money issues." So what? In my mind, she was criticized and punished for trying to be independent and she made minor, typical mistakes of someone in their 20s.

This narrative disturbs me because I think of my personal situation and fear an estranged family member coming back into my life and just controlling it. How Britney survived that is unreal. She carries a resilience and inner strength that is just unreal.

So this is the meaning of the term "blocked accounts" that was used when JL tried to move the SJB Revocable Trust to Stonebridge?

ohhhh good point. heheh...i didnt make that connection. it must be the same thing. Blocked=you need a court approval to use it.

Aug. 21, 2020 - Jamie Lynn Spears files a Petition for Order to Deposit Trust Assets Into Blocked Account(s). Jamie Lynn includes an application to involve Stonebridge Wealth Management as an authorized agent. Lou M. Taylor has 13+ years of experience with Stonebridge.

Question...

Why did you link Berk to the Onyx Hotel payout?

:umsaywhat_adele_hmm_umm_thinking_confused_unsure:

...

Sept. 21, 2006 - The Onyx Hotel Tour civil lawsuit between Britney Touring, Inc. and eight insurance companies draws to a close in the state of New York. All court documents are sealed.

Dec. 2, 2006 - Britney turns 25, which is the Uniform Transfers to Minors Act (UMTA) age of majority in the state of Florida if the transferer/parent chooses. Otherwise, the age of majority in Florida is 21-years old.

I wasn't sure where to add this - kind of related to Con accounting?  It's not NOT related, if you know what I mean 😅

I was on a quest to figure out how Larry Rudolph actually met Britney.  All over the Exhale/ the internet, the same line is repeated.  He's a "friend of the family". Or something like that.

Exhalers say:

Wikipedia says "her mother asked family friend and entertainment lawyer Larry Rudolph" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...Baby_One_More_Time_(album)

--> but the original source of this material does NOT say Larry and Lynne are "family friends", it says Lynne called Larry a few times between 1995-1997 and made friendly chit chat before bringing up the big question of "Is it time [to launch Britney's career]?"  https://www.google.com/books/edition/Buzzmarketing/0o1x0gumuBMC?hl=en&gbpv=1&bsq=lynne

1) https://lasvegassun.com/blogs/kats-report/2016/feb/19/britney-spears-larry-rudolph-relationship-spins-on/

“I don’t know if you really ‘discover’ a human being unless you’re talking about being at the hospital when she was born,” Rudolph said with a laugh. “But I have known her since she was 13 years old, and she’d been off ‘The Mickey Mouse Club’ for about a year, which I had not seen. But she brought in a VHS tape and played me some stuff of her, and it was just amazing.”

Rudolph was introduced to Britney Spears, then 13, in 1995.  “When I met Britney, I’d never seen her on The Mickey Mouse Club,” says Rudolph. “She came in with a VHS tape and I thought she was an amazing talent but a little young, and at the time pop music wasn’t happening.

Steven Beer (of Rudolph and Beer) says: https://gothamist.com/arts-entertainment/steven-beer-entertainment-lawyer

When and how did you meet her?
We met her when she was 14. She had come to New York to get some training and to do some auditions. Someone who wanted to work with her attended a recording agreements class I was teaching and introduced her to my ex-partner and me.

I think "someone who wanted to work with her" was probably the creepy contact in NY Lynne was making reference to in her book.

Why was that guy a creep?  I don't know.  Was this the same talent scout, William Kahn, who sued Britney in 1999?

And now, like so many who have come before her, bombarded by legal papers: On Jan. 20, a 43-year-old Philadelphia producer named William Kahn filed a complaint against Spears, her parents (Lynne, 43, a teacher; and Jamie, 46, a contractor), Rudolph, and Jive, claiming it was he who'd launched Britney's career. According to the suit, Spears had come to Kahn shortly after the collapse of the ''Mickey Mouse Club.'' For the brief period he spent as her "exclusive personal manager," Kahn was demanding "a sum in excess of $75,000," as his standard 15 percent commission. On Feb. 12, the suit was settled out of court. Or, rather, "resolved and disposed of," according to Larry Rudolph. "Whether or not there was money involved is a confidential matter." But Spears is still shaken by the wrath of Kahn. "Everything's going so well, then there's, like, a stomper," she says. https://www.angelfire.com/pop/BritsWorld/galleryEW.html

Curiously, the lawsuit is SPEARS VS KAHN. I looked on Pacer and there are no docs available :rlynow_britney_really_clasped_um_ok_seriously:  https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/10732489/spears-v-kahn/

Billy Kahn is credited as "talent scout" on some releases of OIDIA.  https://www.discogs.com/release/1965148-Britney-Spears-OopsI-Did-It-Again :brityawning_britney_chaotic_sunglasses_tired: His brothers were/are in the music business as well. See Walter G. Kahn https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Kahn and Andy Kahn https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Kahn. Did Larry think, hey, this talent scout might know what he's talking about - I'd better jump on that?

So maybe there is some merit to the 1999 lawsuit, but not enough for Billy Kahn to pursue past whatever money Rudolph threw his way.

So, my takeaway from this is that 1) Larry did not start out as a friend of the family, but a young attorney looking for an opportunity.  2) Larry has been(allegedly) paying people to go away since 1995.  Possibly out of his own pocket at first, like Lou Pearlman...who was eventually imprisoned for a Ponzi scheme.   @RebellionSparkles pointed out the note in the Britney Spears Foundation 990 about Larry's office space being paid for by Britney.  I'm still working on a connection between Bert Padell and Larry, and Stacy Smith and Larry.  We might need an Adam Leber-specific thread soon.

Larry was already in Florida in the 1980s. It’s likely that he somehow met Britney then & many Maloofs are in S Florida including George Maloof’s cousin Albert. Lou Pearlman is way more involved then we know. Irving Azoff repped the Backstreet Boys when Nick Carter left in 2002 or so. Interesting, note that the primary investor Fred K.- in Paris Hilton’s nightclub chain- was also charged with fraud.

This is a different Larry Rudolph. It's this guy: https://www.levitt-weinstein.com/obituaries/Laurence-Rudolph/#!/Obituary

Laurence Charles Rudolph. His ex-wife Linda is on the Orange Fuel Management, Inc business records. Larry C. Rudolph died in 2017. Linda Rudolph is now Linda Rudolph Meyerson. I can screenshot some stuff, but I'm like 99.99% certain Larry Rudolph of Orange Fuel is a different guy.

Ah, thank you!

I'll take that out of the Chronological Timeline.

It's crazy how perfectly that fit into the story!

This is not in the same time period in which you're currently looking but yesterday I noticed something in the April 2021 probate notes related to accounting and I should ask before I forget!

The only reference I could find to RAK and Britney was this - a line from a RAK attorney's resume.

Rosengart mentioned it last September. https://deadline.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/spears-sept-28-objection.pdf

My question - what is going on here? Who is lying? Is this something that showed up in the accounting and now they have to explain why the money was spent?

So how can we learn more about the Larry Rudolph/Lou Pearlman relationship?

Can we place Larry in Florida prior to him launching Rudolph & Beer, LLP in 1993?

I was having trouble with this a few months ago. I think if you look back for Johnny Wright and Lou Pearlman, you will find Larry.

When I search for Larry & Lou in Proquest, this article comes up because of the abstract:

[Johnny Wright] Aug. 17, 1960 -- born in Hyannis on Cape Cod, Mass. 1979 -- began musical career as disc jockey at WCOD in Mass. 1988-1992 -- road manager for New Kids on the Block. 1990 -- moved to Orlando. 1990-1993 -- manager for Snap. 1993 -- formed alliance with [Lou Pearlman], head of Trans Continental Records. 1995-1998 -- manager for Backstreet Boys. 1996 -- started as manager for 'N Sync. 1998 -- started as co-manager for [Britney Spears] with Larry Rudolph. 1998 -- launched Wright Entertainment Group. 2001 -- started as a consultant to Sean "P. Diddy" Combs. 2002 -- launched WIRE (Wright International Records & Entertainment) Records. Taking care of business . During a break in the other action, Johnny Wright catches up on phone calls amid Times Square crowd. [Jean Patteson]/ORLANDO SENTINEL Starry, starry day. The trip to blustery New York with manager Johnny Wright wasn't all business for heartthrobJustin [Timberlake]. "In July 1997, Pearlman’s lawyer Larry Rudolph arranged auditions with a number of record labels in New York, accompanied by promo pictures featuring Britney lounging around her back garden in denim hotpants. Mercury and Epic, unimpressed with her demeanour and vocal range, turned her down. But Jive Records – to that point largely known as an R&B and hip hop label – decided to take a punt."

All the RAK fees seems to be IP/copyright related to Shiloh Standing.

My hypothesis is that intellectual property from Britney Brands and/or One More Time Music has been converted to Shiloh. No evidence, just conjecture based on how high the IP legal fees were from RAK.

Ingham initially targeted RAK fees as an objection to the accountings (I assume bc the fees were so high). But then BKStyl directed Ingham to the fraudulent spending for the fan lawsuit, which was a completely different law firm.

Lou Pearlman is kind of a funny story IMO.

Pearlman is 💯% A con man and fraudster. He pretended he had an airline that didn’t exist. It’s a classic Ponzi scheme.

BUT this is the funny part. He ALMOST got away with it bc he made crazy investments into NSYNC and BSB (and IMO B). Luck almost bailed him out of the Ponzi scheme. He would have been able to return all the promised money to investors.

IMO the reason we hear so much about him being a “bad guy” is to make an example out of him.

what Lou Pearlman did WAS WRONG. But the reason he’s dangerous is bc he accidentally invested in some major hits that could have bailed him out.

^^all “billionaires” use a similar playbook as Lou Pearlman. Elon Musk is a MUCH worse version than Pearlman. Bezos is also worse.
