music Marina announced that ‘Ancient Dreams In A Modern Land” is her last album with Atlantic Records

After 14 years with Atlantic records, marina announced at her London show that she’s going independent. What this means is that she will have creative control on how and when future music will be made, Marina is still an artist with a manager.
 

“I want to share my independence with you.”

She making money moves! I see a lot of artists following suit. Being tied down to a label in 2022 when an artist has their fans at their finger tips doesn't make much sense to me

The fact that the label offered her to do a video for bubblegum ***** and she refused for the 10 year anniversary really annoys me. I feel like she’s intent on not being a massive popstar, which is completely fine but it feels a bit like she shoots her self in the foot a lot with some of her choices

I really love her though and wish her lots of success
