I'm sorry y'all but I'm not sure I want to take Wendy's side in this. Y'all tried to make me feel bad for Amanda's conservatorship as well... then some of her questionable antics were revealed a few weeks ago which only strengthened the argument that she should be in that situation for her  own good due to her patterns of erratic behavior.

I feel like Wendy's situation is similar especially given her fainting incident, which implies that she has medical issues that might inhibit her decision making.

Nobody on this world should be in the situation that their human rights are taken away without a trial. Even convicted murderers get a trial where evidence has to be provided and a jury decides.

No matter the state of ones person, it can't be that conships get approved without a hearing and any defense of the regarding person. It's ridiculous that there is such a loophole and people that aren't part of family or the state can file for a conship over a person or his financials.

Amanda bynes might have erratic behavior, but that doesn't mean she should be stripped of her human rights. There's therapy that can be set by the court and so on. Conservatorships should be the last resort to people who endanger themselves or other people, but only with a fair trial of the case with evidence proofing.

But sis, how is that okay? She is not an old grandma who is incapable, she is a woman, yeah maybe she needs medicine, but i'm sure there are other ways to help her.

She is not a puppet, she is an adult!

We don't say, she hasn't any problems, but she has enough money to get any treatment.

I think conservatorships are very sketchy and you can use it against anyone, which is scary and really mean.

How was she not able to stop it?! She saw it coming for months, I saw her insta video talking about it and thought the law would be on her side...

What's wrong with conservatorship law in the US:gerlwat_sunglasses_cigarette_looking_what_blink:

This is a reminder not to use big banks…. Diversify your portfolio! Invest in real estate, foreign countries, shares, bonds! So when time come you can sue the **** of these banks

She should of paid more attention to Britney’s case instead of mocking her

I disagree. These are the very same arguments that stripped Britney of her rights and I think it is wrong. It's a modern day witch hunt, where "legally", people can be punished for acting in ways that make others uncomfortable, which is a big no. If you go and read some of Britney's IG comments, people use this exact same argument to say she was under a c-ship, rightfully. They are annoyed by her voice, by her nudity, by her skits. Back in 07, they were annoyed by her British accent, by her panties, by her outfits, by her mothering. That is ok, it's not bad to dislike someone, but to decide whether they should be an individual with volition or not is insane.  People don't have to like you, people don't even have to agree, but they should have no say on your legal rights. The whole "protection" side of it is such bull, it's just for profit. They pretty much abused and enslaved Britney for 13 years, with the court's blessings. Just like they have done with many others. MC Hammer filled for bankruptcy and yet, nobody tried to put him in a c-ship.

Why do some people get to waste their money however the want, be addicted to substances, while others need "protection"? I know there are some men who have been put in c-ships and it is equally unfair. The whole concept is wrong and it should be changed completely.

And why does this always happen with women generally? Is Kanye West better than Wendy Williams really? What's the difference. It's the double standard that annoys me. Kanye has said some crazy stuff over the years and nothing happens to his money

Exactly. Women who are going through stuff has "dementia" are "unstable" and uncapable to take care of their OWN MONEY they worked their *** off for.

I've said it before and I will say it again - a c-ship is the new loophole people in the business use.

That's why it's so important Britney speaks out. I hope she picks that battle and change the law.

I cannot abide this woman no. I’m sorry but one apology does not excuse the years of vile things she said about Britney. It was constant and at times really spiteful and nasty.

However, no woman (or anybody) should be treated this way by these horrendous systems. Why are financial advisors commenting on peoples state of mind? This is bizarre. The US needs to change how it deals with conservatorships. The system is cruel and inhumane.

if conservatorships were like, ok we're preventing the conservatee from spending all the money (which still is wrong 'cause it's their money and they can do whatever the f they want with it), and it's just like a bank or an institution overseeing it, but the problem is all the people profiting out of it, lawyers, conservators, etc. Why do they have to get paid out of the conservatee's money, ESPECIALLY when the purpose of it all is supposedly to stop spending on useless stuff? Like how does that make any sense :beynah_beyonce_talking_telling_preaching:

And with no trial? It's unbelievable this thing exists.
