also bring fresh content. key thing there. everyone is taking off their clothes nowadays.. even for free. so you need to maybe find a niche / fetish. niches pay better and its less work.

also if you're hairy. let yourself be hairy. the gay world is in need of hairy men.

the only downside i see is maybe it'll be difficult to date good guys with an active only fans account. and sorry but the world is judgy. so be ready for that.
