Kesha Comments On Britney’s Post: "I hate that you could not tell the truth…"

Recommended Posts

Kesha feels her pain too similarly and there's no way she's not talking about her people and luke who tried to silence her, and have her put a smile on and work for them under contract. can't believe that trash bag sued her for defamation and won. Same court system that screwed britney are screwing others. Imagine what it's like for people who don't have money or resources, these courts suck.

Idk if this it a good idea for Britney to be associated with Kesha these days now that she was exposed for lying about Dr Luke. The dude is innocent.

Wait….really? She lied?

Dr. Luke didn't assault Kesha, I thought people figured that out by now. How is that even a question people thinking here?

Let’s get something straight, the Kesha/Dr Luke dispute is about a contract. Kesha’s livelihood, her entire ability to make any money, is reliant on this contract that dictates Dr Luke will profit off her work. Kesha’s ONLY request is that she does not want to work with this man that she claims committed violent harm against her.

It’s shocking that these Kesha contracts are legal bc it gives unilateral power to the capital provider (Dr. Luke) to control the creator (Kesha). Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion are reportedly in similarly abusive contracts.

And as far as the question of r.ape, ***ual assault is a practice normalized in Hollywood…it’s beyond rampant; people in power consider it a perk of the job. If Kesha were only assaulted this one time it’s because she was lucky and became successful early.

Before repeating headlines from bad journalists, know that by supporting Dr. Luke you ARE supporting the captor. Given that Kesha so fervently does not want to work with Dr. Luke, the only humane thing would have been to let her out of her contract…but Dr. Luke can’t do that because his only claim to fame is trapping talented artists in abusive contracts and hoping the courts will uphold the abusive contracts.

Did you read the article you linked? This article does not have evidence that Kesha lied, and the headline is misleading--she didn't lose the defamation case. The defamation trial hasn't even happened yet.

The article says that the court ruled that a newly enacted statute (which would have been favorable to Kesha) cannot be retroactively applied to their case. If it was applied, then Luke would have to show not just that she lied and harmed him, but did so with actual malice. The court has yet to decide if he is a "public figure" and if they do then he'll have to prove actual malice anyway.

No matter how messed up the contract was, if she signed it it may on her. This js why it is hard to defend the likes of Taylor Swift and the issue with her earlier albums rights. Read the contract first maybe?

It’s not a like for like comparison, Kesha and Taylor.

Taylor’s contract issue is about market manipulation/fair contracting…the person who bought her masters bullied her record label into better terms/conditions than they offered Taylor. Taylor potentially offered a better price/terms than Scooter Braun (buyer) paid.

Kesha’s contract issue is about human rights. She’s being contractually forced against her will to work for someone else’s benefit—isn’t that involuntary servitude?

People who push messed up contracts are predatory and seek out people to take advantage of via the contracts, which are written in legalese.

By any chance have you been following the Kesha case? Her contract was supposed to be made public and this is one document I’ve been dyinggg to see…I’m not sure how to find it if it’s already been made public.

stanning for people who lock young and inexperienced female artists into predatory contracts is, uh, a choice
