Charli XCX - 'Crash' stream + comment party

Charli XCX just released her new album Crash.

Just started listening and it's got a bunch of bops.

I finally get it. It's the 80s, 90s, & 00s inspired Synth-pop all crashing together. How I'm Feeling Now was up for the Mercury Prize in 2020, and while I think it's not as groundbreaking or experimental as her previous work, she deserves all the success coming her way.

It's a very strong album, I like it Good Ones still remains the strongest song, no wonder she chose it as a first single

Im torn....I like the middle of the album more than the beginning. I still feel like Charli would b better as a rock artist than EDM but I still like her too

Im enjoying it. The production is flawless and It’s a very cohesive record.

This was the first time I listened to a Charli XCX record in full because I have a love/dislike relationship with her but I'm glad I took a shot in the dark and listened to one of the YouTube recommended tracks: Constant Repeat. That song is what I like Pop wise. I don't like the sugary bubblegum Pop that's why I don't replay Britney's first 3 albums, just the singles.

This album is a breath of fresh air. I also watched her Apple Music interview and I understand the record much more now. It's what we needed.

I agree. Constant Repeat is good. The rest is, as you said sugary bubblegum pop.

I used to to be obsessed of Charli's first album True Romance. Crash is like the opposite, it lacks beats and sounds rushed, cheap and too simple.
