Mexican singer and actress that is just like Britney!

My friend was educating me about this singer and actress from Mexico: THALIA

she was HUUUGE in Mexico and latin america in the late 90s, she recorded telenovelas marimar, maria mercedes y maria lá del barrio 

I was just watching her 1997 or 1998 videos and wow her charisma, mannerisms and even her looks she looked A LOT like early baby Britney. It crossed my mind that maybe executives wanted someone like Thalia for the United States due to her success in latin america.

Fun fact: Britney acknowledged her in one of the interviews she did for the Britney album, she liked the video Reincarnacion.

She is married with Mariah Carey ex, Tommy Motola

Thalia is a Legend. She is the lead of the most iconic Telenovela in history (Maria La Del Barrio) and her songs are amazing

she’s such a doll in her interviews just like Britney, her charisma is amazing she’s so beautiful

Omg she was huge in my home country in Brazil. Her telenovelas were super popular. Especially Maria do Bairro and Maria Mercedes, but I don’t really see the similarity between her and Britney. If anything, I think Brazilian singer Kelly Key was a lot more similar to Britney.

She has a good pop catalogue (on her own league), she has charisma and yes, shes a mexican icon but she has nothing to do with Britney In any level. Aside from being female singers, theres nothing I can see they have in common.

I think Thalia has more similarities with J Lo than with Britney, especially around 2003, with her album Thalia

I was crazy about her when i was like 5 Rosalinda ay amor.  i used to record her videos, tv series on VHS. Omg im overwhelmed with feelings and memories now.

most of those videos were uploaded just last year or so. She's actually always giving content to her fans, uploading lost videos and performances, and "remasters" or lyric videos to old songs, etc.

I Want You was her biggest hit in the US reaching #22 on the Billboard Hot 100, but yeah, other than that she's mostly known in the Latin market. 

Probably her most popular one in recent years is No Me Acuerdo, which reached more than a billion views on YouTube

but she's known for more iconic songs from the 90's and early 00's.

Thalia is a latin legend. She remains very popular these days which is rare. Not her biggest fan but i do love some of her songs and i like her. She's a Britney fan btw.
