I love Britney but "Glory" is so boring

Glory is a very basic album that was particularly catered for a gay demographic. It has some standout tracks (Slumber Party and MOTM come to mind) but the overall theme was done and already played out before. A lot of the songs fall short in one way or another, whether it’s bad lyrics and/or cheap outdated production.

I see what you mean ... but boring is such a strong word 🥲🥲🥲. 
I think most of the fans love it because of the vocals, right ? I know I do. 

It makes you feel like she's more into it than some previous materials

So you’d prefer her to make generic poppy bubblegum music. And you do realize that she was more involved with the production of this album right? And at this point who cares about “hits”? If it’s a good album I dont care if it has hits or not. She’s almost 10 albums in. No artist at that point gives a damn about charts. You just didn’t like it because it’s not what you were expecting.

Agreed, very bland, monotonous & basic.

Her voice is extra squeaky and nasally, too for most songs.

I like Liar best, maybe Mood Ring is also listenable. 
 

The rest is whatever, worst probably being If I’m Dancing and Better. 
 

Overall a lot of overproduced songs, eg Clumsy, Come Over, Hard to Forget Ya…

Glory had some duds, but overall it's the best thing she made post-Blackout. 

The problem with Glory is that Britney was denied her rights and creative control for so long that she finally picked up where she left from In the Zone/Blackout in 2016. 

I like the more mellow/moodier vibe. But I still find it very danceable, I'm not sure why others don't.

Glory does not lend itself to single releases. Like, on its own, I don't like Make Me. And having it as the lead single had me very nervous that she had lost "it". But in the flow of the album as a whole, I enjoy it and can easily just chill and next thing I know, she's singing in French and it's over.

Yeah to me it’s like a collection of songs Britney worked really hard on and sounds fantastic. But as an entire body of work I agree it is somewhat “boring.” But damn was she working those vocals.

Blackout,  circus and femme fatale had eras..different statements,  different themes..bruceney jenner and glory were simply jamie approved vegas albums for the fans

Invitation should have been the lead single..end of story 

Glory had some great vocals but both Glory and burger joint were shining examples of britney's album's controlled..even the artwork.. the scrapped video's...

I cant wait for her next era..

Better, hard to forget ya and dywco sucked..people wanted dywco to be a single but 1) it was already performed..so whats the point..no new material..

Exactly its very experimental..britneys vocals meets random beats..vocals meets music..its authentic yet somewhat generi... experimental

I wouldn't say boring, but I would say underwhelming. People praise her vocals, but Chipmunkney jumped out and took over on some songs. Most of the songs are ok, but nothing like OMG I need this song on repeat. I played it when it was new, but after that was right back to her other albums.

I think the songs she did sing on BJ sound better vocally. Yes, vocals were spliced together at parts, but so are her other albums (and so are other singers, as to get the best take).
