Should've Britney Released "Look Who's Talking Now" & "Sweet Dreams My LA Ex" Back In The Day?

How much of an impact would these Timberlake clapback songs have in pop culture if Britney released them on ITZ?  Britney wrote Look Who's Talking Now and Sweet Dreams was written by Cathy Dennis. Comment below which your prefer and would they have the same critical response as Everytime?

I think passing on Sweet Dreams My LAX was a mistake. It was clearly written for Britney and related to her life rather than Rachel.

I think it would have been a great for ITZ rather than MATM (as much as I love it). They were playing on the whole JT break up back then so it would have been huge. I always vision her dance breakdown for the middle 8 being epic.

the chorus was different when britney heard it and the song is generic. both songs are, actually.

Umm why not both? MATM is a brilliant song.

OT: Never really cared for LWTN but always loved Sweet Dreams My LA Ex. It had Britney written all over it and would have fit that era so perfectly. :fakecry_christina_aguilera_xtina_crying_tears_wipe_sad:

She should've defended herself especially with these songs, idk why she didnt!

Her label said she shouldn't stoop to Justin's level so she went with a gentle approach, same happened with rock star that was about fred durst

Sweet Dreams I'm not bothered about tbh. I was okay with Rachel singing it in the end.

Look Who's Talking Now - maybe? It sounds like it could have had potential if released properly.

Yeah it doesn't sound finished, she didn't record some parts like the bridge but it's still a favourite

I understand that completely but this whole thing of her supposedly "cheating" on Justin RUINED her image!
Up until that, she was seen as the pretty perfect bubblegum pop princess but then after the allegations that she cheated,

she was seen as a sl-u-t  and wh-o-r-e who cheated and lied about waiting til marriage.

As much as I love Everytime, her releasing that as her response single just proved everyone right that she was a cheater.

Just being honest.

They both wanted to one up on each other but the line "This song is my sorry" was pretty bold and brave of her

Yeah it was but she paid a real heavy price for that!

Since 2003-2004, her image has been tainted and hasnt been the same.

Sure she had her comeback but people will ALWAYS remember her meltdown and downfall.

Dont get me wrong, I love Britney but sadly her image will either always be her past meltdown or conservatorship and maybe her prime.

I have seen people I know in my life who still think of Britney as the 2007 bald Britney like my sister

and my mom thinks shes a wh-o-r-e.

I just hope Britney does something soon that will make the world FORGET about the conservatorship drama

and that she can be respected and treated like a legend again!

One thousand percent and I think it's gonna be her big mysterious memoir that's gonna prove everyone wrong
