Who said she wasn’t allowed to perform though? I also doubt the conservatorship ever got in the way of her control with her art. That’s usually the record label. I mean if anything, the conservatorship was forcing her to perform when she didn’t want to.

When Jamie Lynn appeared and she jumped up clapping and smiling, she looked genuinely happy about it. Maybe when she got home she started to think about it more and more and started to have issue with it. I think we have all at times been ok in the moment with something and then changed our feelings later?

Maybe the simple fact others were able to perform her songs while she had to perform what she was told.

The c-ship ofc no. But remember Mr Colon was the one who signed all her contracts, which usually are quite specific or have policies about what specific songs and how many times she was gonna perform. Anything out of those details, sadly, might be considered 'illegal'.

It wasnt until now during the Freebritney era, when I got to understand why she said in 2017 it felt illegal to sing live

tbh she just doesn't like JL and she wants the world to know. Do you want the owner of your estate performing YOUR songs as if they were hers. JL finally got her dream of being Britney for one night and that made Britney livid.

She’s bothered because she couldn’t CHOOSE!!!

that’s the whole point Britney hasn’t been able to make any decisions and then Jamie Lynn is able to make “remixes” and sing Britney’s songs lives which Britney has never been allowed to do in 13 years!

you really need to be more empathetic and think as if you’re Britney herself! I might seem small but it’s actually huge when you look at the number times she’s been told NO!

Kelsea Ballerini is amazing!  From what I gather she wasn’t upset at the other girls, just JL because JL knew  Britney didn’t have any control over her own performances/song choices, yet her team allowed JL to “surprise” Britney and let her perform her song.  The whole being mad about “not being allowed to perform remixes” thing also makes me think Britney may have possibly been denied (by her team for whatever reason) the opportunity to perform a medley of hits for her Vanguard Award win at the VMA’s in 2011 and maybe she wanted to do different songs/routines for her BBMA performance in 2016 and not just stuff from POM.  The remixes thing doesn’t make sense, but someone pointed out she may be confusing “remixes” for “medleys” and that actually makes sense in this context.  Idk…

Tbh the show wasn’t live you have no idea how that was edited, maybe she was getting up Jamie Lynn…it’s very easy to grab a shot of when she looked happy and excited and make seem like it was something else just to fit a narrative and it happens all the time in Hollywood with these prerecorded shows!

and the narrative that night was that Jamie Lynn was presenting Britney with an award…

so why wouldn’t they edit her reaction!
