Kelly Clarkson readies new album for this year (plus maybe a covers album)

Kelly Clarkson is planning on releasing a new album this year, and hints at a covers album. 

I am bummed for Kelly cause her divorce is nasty, but selfishly I am fired up for this next record because angry Kelly tracks are my fav.

Might have to stan this news on my next live stream.

I hope it’s a little different than her last non Xmas album. I wasnt really feeling it personally. Really likes Xmas isn’t canceled and her single  I dare you.

I wouldn't mind a covers album but yet I would love to have a full album of original music from her. I can't wait for the album, regardless!

I wasn’t a huge fan of Meaning of Life on release but I absolutely love it now - Heat and Move You are top tier Kelly songs!

Love Kelly and I am always here for whatever she gives, Piece by Piece is only album that I don't like much by hers.

Whilst I’m totally here for a covers album as well, I think it would work better for her to release her Kellyoke covers to Spotify, rather than a whole album of just covers.

Her music is very hit or miss with me! I absolutely hated her new Christmas album and I only liked 2 songs on Meaning Of Life.

I love Kelly!  I'm always here for her. 

Like some have already said, I'd like for her new material to sound more like Breakaway and My December, her best two albums IMO. Although I also wouldn't mind something like Meaning of Life either. She can sing in any genre and she sounds beautiful in all of them.
