Britney is now allowed to sign her own estate paperwork: "Ms. Spears, as an independent woman, not under conservatorship,” should be able to execute documents herself

Britney scored another legal victory today following a court hearing to address ongoing proceedings in relation to the now-terminated conservatorship. 

The judge granted Britney the power to execute documents herself, meaning “she has the power to do whatever she wants to do,” Rosengart said outside the courthouse after the brief hearing, Variety reports.

Rosengart told judge Brenda Penny, “Ms. Spears, as an independent woman, not under conservatorship,” should be able to execute documents herself.

The judge agreed. 

John Zabel will continue to exercise his temporary administrative powers until January 19th, the date of the next hearing. Additional accounting matters will be discussed, as well as the petition for substituted judgement. 

The other item worth mentioning is that Judge Penny granted the motion to keep that petition under seal as it's “in the interest of protecting the conservatee’s right to privacy.”

Rosengart also touched on TriStar, telling reporters outside the courthouse that “TriStar filed a motion to quash subpoenas that were served on TriStar, as well as Robin Greenhill, and that’s something the court is going to address during the hearing on Jan. 19,” he said.

He also doubled down that Jamie Spears has refused to appear for his deposition. “We served papers for his deposition. He did not appear for his deposition the first time; he did not appear for his deposition a second time, so he has not yet been deposed,” Rosengart said. “But he will be deposed in this case. I look forward to taking his deposition.”

Rosengart also addressed the paparazzi. “The paparazzi and tabloid media should be much more respectful of Britney and all celebrities," he said. "That's something that I think there should be legislation on.”

This update reminds me of that email where she tells people of her label (I guess) the way she wanted to shoot the Piece of Me music video by typing them: "it's me who signs your checks" 

 

Based on her recent posts and her newly gained confidence I can see the real (old school) shady bold and talkative Britney will be back. I know, I can see her, it's funny how in such short videos from IG I can see little glimpses of that old raw Britney. It's almost as if i were seeing primeney in 2021.
